THE CHEF - PETER HEBEL

Originally from Germany, Hebel has worked in restaurants worldwide. Chef Hebel's resumé includes cooking for: Swiss ski resorts, a stint in Egypt, caterings that involved flights to New York City, cruise ships, The Maritimes, Tahiti, and the Caribbean. Later, came a year at the Post Hotel in Lake Louise, Alberta, followed by owning Granny Bogners, a fine dining restaurant in Penticton, British Columbia.

Peter Hebel moved to the East Coast in pursuit of the small-town way of life and thus came to the Maritimes to pursue his next dream. OUR RESTAURANT

Hebel’s Restaurant, located in the former Wynward Inn, features casual fine dining in the intimate setting of the mid-19th century Victorian home on Stellarton Road. Peter Hebel, with a keen appreciation for the heritage significance of the building has done a beautiful job of preserving and enhancing the architectural integrity of the heritage home that was once built by a sea captain.
